Brook Lopez, Center, Stanford University. 7-0, 260 lbs.

NetsDaily says:

We're looking at two players here: Brook Lopez and Danilo Gallinari.

Gallinari may have the greater potential, would fill a need for a swingman who can shoot off the bench, and he may be fond of the NY/NJ area, but we think that the pick for the Nets should these two both be available is Lopez.

It's obvious that the frontline is an issue for this team. They do have some young bigs (Boone, Krstic, Sean Williams) with room to grow, but they still lack the toughness the Nets need. And it doesn't look like DeSagana Diop is going to stick around, so there's a need for a fourth big.

And looking forward, Lopez, with his work on the low block, could complement both Williams and Krstic, and he's more of a traditional center than either.

The Indiana Pacers, represented by Indy Cornrows , are on the clock.
