New Blog: Anonymous Eagle covering Marquette!

The Erie BayHawks are looking for a play by play announcer who can sell tickets. The catch is they do not want him to sell tickets in the sense that people will show up to see him in action. They want him to actually sell tickets. It also sounds like the individual who is hired for this job better be able to set up, fix/maintain and tear down his own equipment before and after games.

I hope there is room on RU for a future post highlighting the special talents of whoever ends up landing this primo job.

Clueless

Jeremy you don’t just display your ignorance…you parade it it! At this level a play-by-play guy doesn’t come with an entourage or an engineer! Yes the LUCKY person who lands this job will be expected to set up his own gear and take it down afterward too! Read the ad…Erie is one of the very FEW D-League teams that will actually have their radio guy on th road to call all the games…most tap into the other team’s broadcast! so this is a darn good opportunity for an up and coming broadcaster. As far as sales goes, it’s the economics of a minor league system, most of the minor league jobs I’ve been involved in don’t pay enough to cover rent and food, so the chance to make extra money by selling works for me.
