The Bakersfield Jam announced their assistant coaches for the upcoming year. Greg Minor was an assistant with the Tulsa 66ers under Paul Woolpert last season after playing six years in the NBA. Mark Strickland spent eight seasons in the NBA and was an assistant at Morehouse College last year. Chris Leazier was an assistant for both the mens' and womens' teams at Darmouth from 2000-2007 before working as the womens' head coach at St. Anselm College for the past two seasons.

I remember Jam owner David Higdon say they were exploring hiring a former WNBA coach as an assistant, but I suppose Leazier fills that role.

Speaking of Assistants...

…heard on the radio that Idaho Stamps assistant Joel Abelson will be back in the saddle

Hope he gets to go on away games this year…
