LA D-Fenders Waive Pinick, Wise, Moore, N'Doye, Pruitt
As semi-promised, here are some more training camp cuts as announced by the D-Fenders. In turn: didn't expect N'Doye to make the team, as he (like Skemp in Erie) came into camp as the third center; Moore has bounced around other minor leagues and overseas, so the fact that he didn't stick here wasn't much of a surprise either; like N'Doye, there wasn't much room for Pinick behind Deron Washington and Ryan Forehan-Kelly, even though he's a smart player who will likely do pretty well overseas; Wise showed he could score in college, but the team already has a lot of those guys, particularly after acquiring Dar Tucker; speaking of which, I know Pruitt was injured, but this leaves the team with one real point guard, a Mr. Horace Wormely, who was first team all-NAIA in college but is also 5'6".

Pruitt was gunna excell for us this year but oh well we’ll be okay.
LA D-Fenders
It’s pretty standard that injured players get waived. He may be back when he is ready to play full speed. I wonder who is going to play the 4 for them? This team should have some real firepower from the perimeter with Forehan-Kelly and Joe Crawford. It remains to be seen who will start at center. i would assume it will be Longar but Fey may be in the mix. Pretty cool if a 5’6" guy named Horace Wormely makes the team and plays.
They're pretty clearly going with a small lineup
so maybe Washington or Forehan-Kelly get the minutes at power forward (plus I’m not sure how you push either of those guys to the bench). If they wanted to go with a true PF they could maybe use James “Boo” Jackson, who was alright at Eastern Michigan and was the CBA “Newcomer of the Year” a few seasons ago.
Ridiculous Upside, where developing talent and winning are not mutually exclusive.
