"That guy belongs in the NBA," Nelson said. "Hopefully we find a way to keep him. He’s stronger than anybody I have at that position."
What's that, Don Nelson? You say Chris Hunter is better than Mikki Moore? Well that's...actually not all that controversial. Hunter finished with four points, three rebounds, a steal and a block in 14 minutes and started the second half for Golden State. Good for him, and hopefully this leads to bigger things, because Nelson's right - the guy can play. (Oh, and thanks to G Martz for pointing me towards that quote)

…..no, no that’s not what he said.

Isn't it?
That he’s a stronger option than any of the other centers they have available, which includes Mikki Moore?
Ridiculous Upside, where developing talent and winning are not mutually exclusive.
Stronger as in actually stronger/ Have you seen Mikki Moore? Even I could beat him in an arm wrestle.

In fairness, he’s about the same as Mikki Moore, since Mikki Moore jumped the shark about 2 years ago. But that’s not a glowing endorsement of Hunter, since Mikki Moore should not be in the NBA any more.

I know that there’s a fair amount of the usual Don Nelson-badmouthing-his-own-players stuff going on here, but given how close Nelson is to the current front office, I think the “hopefully we find a way to keep him” piece of it is pretty positive for Hunter.
Ridiculous Upside, where developing talent and winning are not mutually exclusive.
