Not a huge surprise. We had it down to him or Richard Hendrix. He's the most surprising player of the season, hands down.

The Iowa Energy guard ranks in the top 10 in scoring, rebounding and steals.

"Othyus is a warrior. He competes every night, puts winning first and foremost in his mind and refuses to be denied," said Energy head coach Nick Nurse. "He is absolutely deserving of the award and he gets a lot of credit in my book. In my 19 years of coaching he is without a doubt the most competitive player I’ve ever worked with."

I wonder

who he;‘ll get a camp invite from this summer. He’s done enough work for one. He looked really good last night, Rainbow jumpshot or not.

Great news

As well as Hendrix has played this year, I’m really happy to see Jeffers get the award. He’s a tremendous rebounder for a guy his size. I’m not certain he’ll stick with an NBA team next year, but it certainly won’t be long.

Now writing for Ridiculous Upside, where we knew who Mike Taylor was before you did.
