According to KRQE in Albuquerque, only one employee remains at the Albuquerque Thunderbirds, but the team owner said the NBA Development League team should be back in business next season.
Team owner Sam Bregman says he is looking for a fresh start and is just restructuring the team. Bregman told KRQE News 13 the firing has nothing to with cash flow but with making the franchise successful.

I don't know what to think about this, but it is worth mentioning. In doing my research, I heard that this was a lot more optimistic than what some had heard, and less optimistic than what others had heard. Therefore, I'll reserve my opinions until I hear from somebody that knows more that'll go on record. Could be a non-story.

It would be odd for him to fold the team

Because if he folded the team why did he buy it from Kahn? That wouldn’t make much sense.

Well then Scotty...

…let’s get the story then.

People that chop everyone but one person in an organization and then say that “it has nothing to do with cash flow”, I have found typically are not being completely truthful FWIW.

Well Bergman is an attorney

Do you expect attorney’s to tell the truth?

Not just that he's an attorney

But there’s no reason for him to tell the truth, at this point. It sounds as though if he can find investors, he’ll stick around. If this is how he decided to let the city know to either help him out or they’re screwed, I guess that’s happened.

I'd love to

But like I said, I don’t know what story to tell. Some people are overly optimistic, others woefully oppositely-optimistic. That this story is out, feel free to put your own thoughts to it. It’d be speculation that’s going to be denied by someone either way I write about it. With it being impossible to get any to go on record, I’m left without options.

To me

And this is all rumor, it sounds like Kahn was still on the hook for this season. Bregman didn’t have the money yet, so I’m not sure why it was announced that he bought the team.
