Around SBN: Jeremy Lin's Game-Winner Was Incredible, Worth Remembering

Tulsalightning

Welcome to Loud City has a sweet new post up about how his team, the Tulsa 66ers, could make their jersey's/logo a bit more exciting.
Love this idea!

I love this...

It’s just what Austin and the D-Fenders have done, and I think it’s what every 1:1 affiliate team should do. If you have a built in color scheme and logo design, run with it, especially when it’s NBA caliber and much nicer then the duds they’ve been rocking.

I'm more for it

Because if the 14ers disappear, then there will be no more random number teams in the D-League. Plus, yellow is my ninth favorite color.

Question about the shorts.

On the pair on the right (I think it’s the back?), why is the logo…there?

Now writing for Ridiculous Upside, where we think Trey Gilder could be the steal of the draft.

by Jon L on Apr 30, 2009 2:20 PM EDT reply actions

I think the D-League

has logos “there” – just not as pronounced..

I'd prefer it just a hair lower

if we’re taking that angle let’s not go halfsies

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 2:26 PM EDT up reply actions

I don’t know why you had that on demand. Also, I don’t want to know.

Thanks!

For all things Idaho...

…come to Rumble.

If Ice would have lived in Boise this fall with his photoshop skills he would have died and gone to heaven:

I feel dirtier having taken part in this comments section

but thanks Rumble…..as always we’ve pushed a normal comments section into bizarro oblivion.

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 4:07 PM EDT up reply actions

Killing me fellas

I enjoy it, but huge pixellated man-butt is not what we need in the comments section. If it happens again, you’re both in deep deep trouble.

I know

But your name was mentioned. If you move to Idaho, apparently that’s what the comment section will look like. I’m just letting you know I will not allow daily postings like this..

Aw, I appreciate it guys, but I’m good. Thx.

C'mon TorosGirl....

who doesn’t need a little man ass? I suspect you’re bluffing on the good part, Rumble’s post was glorious.

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 9:54 PM EDT up reply actions

You’re right. I’m just picky about my man ass. When I think man ass, the above pic just doesn’t pop into my mind.

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 10:26 PM EDT up reply actions

Hahaha ok....

understandable. Is this more what you were thinking

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 10:34 PM EDT up reply actions

Haha

Yeah, something like that.

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 10:37 PM EDT up reply actions

Glad you liked my glamour shot.

I should have bought bigger underwear, but kohls only had boy’s medium.

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 10:38 PM EDT up reply actions

I have to admit

I was a little nervous opening that link. I never know what you guys are gonna come up with.

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 10:38 PM EDT up reply actions

What????

I may seem crazy, but I would never lead you astray.

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 10:39 PM EDT up reply actions

I thought it would take me to something related to: a.)Quin, b.)wrestling, or c.)midgets. I was pleasantly surprised…

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 10:47 PM EDT up reply actions

That wasn't cool

To repent, I need you to find youtube of Quin Snyder wrestling midgets. Thanx.

Hi hater

just trying to make TorosGirl feel like she can hang one naked dude poster in the boys club.

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 10:51 PM EDT up reply actions

Oh come on Scott, those three things do seem to be the obsessions around here. Quin is mine, wrestling references is yours and midgets is everybodys.

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 10:55 PM EDT up reply actions

Well, that’s a given. I’m talking secondary obsessions.

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 10:59 PM EDT up reply actions

I don't know....

I think your love of Quin and Scott’s love of Josh Davis may constitute primary obsessions.

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 11:15 PM EDT up reply actions

Technically, Quin and Josh are D-League related so it’s ok.

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 11:17 PM EDT up reply actions

Yes you did

and you’ve done a good job.

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 11:19 PM EDT up reply actions

It's all for your self-esteem

and self-image. I still think you could take Freddy Finals in a game of 1-on-1

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 11:21 PM EDT up reply actions

Thx, but Freddy Finals creeps me out.

Tomorrow I’m gonna send you an email. I might be visiting your neck of the woods this summer and I have some questions about Durham.

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 11:31 PM EDT up reply actions

Okay

I’ll try to help. Just stay out of East Durham and you’ll be good.

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 11:36 PM EDT up reply actions

Would they still be the 66ers?

That is a good nickname I hope they don’t change it. Those jerseys are pretty sweet though

by stneff70 on Apr 30, 2009 2:57 PM EDT reply actions

Nope

Sounds/looks like the lightning, which I can dig… Thunder and Lightning.

Not 100% sure

But I think the comments on that video were pretty clear on what Oklahoma residents think about this new logo…
“i lived in oklahoma for 13rs of mii life and we sang this song at mii school every friday it was soo much fum, OKALHOMA RULES!!!!!!”

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 4:53 PM EDT up reply actions

OK this is way worse than Rumble's logo on the Man-ass.

Why do you know about this?

I’m guessing this is your comments from that youtube:ur hott and real good voice!

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 5:06 PM EDT up reply actions

??

Why wouldn’t you know about this is probably the better question…

So you're telling me...

that I should be ashamed for not youtubing zit-faced high schoolers singing acapella versions of country songs? The comments section below the clip should have been enough to turn you off…..more urs, omgs, and misspellings than you can shake a stick at.

by Aisander D on Apr 30, 2009 5:28 PM EDT up reply actions

I hope the 66ers become the Lightning. As explained in the original post, it has a certain symmetry to it: lightning before thunder:D-League before NBA. I like things that are symmetrical.

by TorosGirl on Apr 30, 2009 6:48 PM EDT reply actions

won't happen

Unfortunately this will never happen. The D-League has final approval on all team logos, fonts, colors and designs for uniforms. That’s why they all look the same. The D actually does it on purpose. Why, I don’t know.

by LoDo on Apr 30, 2009 7:29 PM EDT reply actions

The "Do" in your name

Obviously stands for downer… As in Debbie Downer.

to have inspired a post that generated the hilarity of comments that ensued on this fanshot. Brilliant.

Come more often....

our comments are continually hilarious. Unless Jon L gets on one of his analytical kicks and goes for 4 paragraph posts, this place is a laugh riot.

I did....

in fact I meant to say, masters thesis length posts.
