[Former University of South Carolina player Rolando] Howell thinks playing overseas is a better option for fringe NBA players, rather than toughing it out in the NBA Developmental League or at the end of an NBA bench.

"The NBA is full of politics," Howell said. "Sure, you can get in. But why get in for the league (salary) minimum when you can go overseas and make double the amount of money - and not pay any taxes on it."

NBA Draft time means a lot of local papers check in with former college players who didn't quite make it big in the NBA, which usually leads to mention of Europe and the D-League. Here's one player's opinion.
