Springfield Armor Dance Team?

[Just thought I'd update this since there was apparently some interest back in the day.  From the press release, I've gleaned that the team will be called the Armorettes, dancers have to be at least 18 and it costs $25 to tryout.]

As a man who has grown up in Western MA and lived here all my life, I found that I was incredibly enthusiastic to hear that the NBA D-League would be expanding in our area. Although I am personally not a fan of the chosen mascot, I still feel this could go in a great direction.

So my question now is will the franchaise add a dance team, mascot, ect. as most other D-League teams have done?? Personally, I am not aware of many dance teams in the area, and I think it's about time we saw a little more.  I've seen the Falcons "Ice Cast" once or twice, and was pretty indifferent on them. They're not a horrible looking group of ladies, and their dancing skills were short of spectacular, but they weren't "bad." I'm hoping the D-League affiliation at the Mass Mutual Center will kick this up a notch.

Anyone hear anything regarding the future of something like this? What in gods name do you call a dance team for the Armor?? Let's hope their uniforms don't try to match the mascot if there is one... Anyone have any opinions on what they'd like to see from a group of ladies representing the Armor?? Or do you think a dance team is unnecessary? I'm curious to hear takes on this...
