From the Houston Chronicle comes word that Will Conroy has done fairly well at recent Rockets workouts - oh, and that the team brought in Jelani McCoy, Lorenzen Wright and Stromile Swift to compete for a backup big man spot.

To summarize my tweets about the subject (@RUBasketball), are you kidding me? You can bring these jokers in but not Richard Hendrix, or Lance Allred, or Rod Benson who, hello, was on your Summer League team? This might be even worse than the Hawks signing Jason Collins, because Houston is supposed to know better.

What is worse, my Blazers have signed Juwan Howard today

About the first player I really hate that the new regime has brought in. I couldn’t stand him in Dallas, and that was 2 years ago when you could still hope he could play a bit. Our GM literally still played with him. Ridiculous, but not much Upside.
