Former Iowa Energy Head Coach Nick Nurse Officially Joins Iowa State Cyclones "I come to Iowa State with full expectations of getting good players, coaching the heck out of them and expecting to win." The head coach, Greg McDermott, is a former teammate of Nurse from their college days at Northern Iowa. Nurse coached the Energy to an 87-63 record over the course of their first three seasons.
