Pacers coach Jim O'Brien has added Vitaly Potapenko to his staff.
— From the Twitter account of the Indy Star's Pacers beat writer Mike Wells. Potapenko had been an assistant coach with the Pacers' D-League affiliate Fort Wayne Mad Ants last year, and O'Brien was Potapenko's coach when the latter played for the Boston Celtics. His elevation continues the trend of D-League head coaches and assistants getting NBA jobs, including Bryan Gates, Scott Roth and Robert Pack last year and Quin Snyder this year.
