Pete Thamel reports Enes Kanter received benefits
Why is this relevant to the D-League? Well, since odds are now high he will not be eligible to play at Kentucky, the D-League is a viable option. He has seemingly burned bridges with his former team and while the rest of Europe is an option, the D-League seems like a viable option for someone who was likely one and done to the NBA.
Thoughts? Odds he plays in the D League next year?

Would love to see him give the D-League a shot
But I would assume he ends up with another European team.
Thamel almost makes it seem like his old team wanted to point out the issue so they could get the transfer payment another European team would have to pay.
I write about basketball players with Ridiculous Upside. I know you'll love it.
