Had you noticed the long profile of Nancy Lieberman in this week's New Yorker?
As usual, it does a fun job of profiling the personality of its subject, but also provides a lot of the feel of the D-League. There are some funny bits about her relationship with Antonio Daniels, for example. (During a tight game she calls him over and asks whether he likes her hairstyle.)
