Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Atlanta Hawks To Workout Malcolm Thomas, Qyntel Woods And Marcus Landry

There isn't going to be a Summer League this year, unfortunately, but plenty of teams are still holding workouts for the top undrafted rookies as well as a host of NBA and D-League veterans.  The Atlanta Hawks have jumped out in front of most teams in this regard, too, bringing in the majority of the top undrafted free agents for a look this week.

Through multiple sources, Ridiculous Upside has learned that Malcolm Thomas, Damian Saunders, David Lighty, Demetri McCamey, Brad Wanamaker, Eniel Polynice, Jeremy Hazell and Zach Graham will all be in Atlanta to workout for Hawks scouts after going undrafted last Thursday.

Veterans expected to be in attendance include Joe Alexander, Marcus Landry, Donald Sloan, Vernon Goodridge and Qyntel Woodsaccording to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Michael Cunningham.

UPDATE: Players not included in my first draft include D-League veterans Dontell JeffersonIvan Johnson and Matt Rogers; the great Omar Samhan and undrafted rookie Demonte Harper.

Star-divide

There are more than likely a few more players that will be added to this later in the morning, but with the Charlotte Bobcats, Miami Heat and  Los Angeles Lakers all holding workouts this week, the competition is going to be rather fierce for legitimate prospects.

This is almost more exciting than Summer League invites!

He's been rock-solid

the last few seasons in Poland and Russia. One of the best small forwards in Europe.

Great Post, Regarding Malcolm Thomas

His draft measurements say Richard Jefferson-Granger-Hakim Warrick

none of those guys including Warrick has a Win Share % below 10%. At worst we get a shotblocking energy player who compares himself to Taj Gibson and plays with energy.

At best we get a longer and improved Richard Jefferson

Malcolm 6’8.5 + 7’2 wingspan, plays like he’s 7’2

Malcolm Thomas rare video

Richard Jefferson 6’8.5 + 7’0.5 wingspan, plays like he’s 7’0.5

Just scouting Atlanta can force and duplicate this issue if they sign Richard Jefferson clone

Scout: Marvin Williams vs. Guards http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrXiRh5i56c

watching the Orlando series it was pretty disgusting how Williams always stood around and drew the worst matchups.

Pretty clear Atlanta is not spending or maximizing its talent wisely at all.
