Sioux Falls Skyforce Head Coach Pat Delany Joins RidiculousUpside.com Podcast #7

Chris Trotman

Sioux Falls Skyforce Head Coach Pat Delany and other guests will join the RidiculousUpside.com staff to talk NBA D-League basketball during our next podcast.

After narrowly missing the NBA D-League playoffs last season, the Sioux Falls Skyforce are off to quite a hot start this year. At 14-7, they currently own the league's second best record heading into Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

With a new single affiliation with the defending NBA champion Miami Heat, there's been a certain culture change, and clearly, the NBA squad's winning ways have rubbed off on the Skyforce quite a bit.

Following over a decade working for the Heat in various capacities, Pat Delany stood tall as the first to assume the role of head coach in Sioux Falls following the new affiliation. So far, the team is on a roll with Coach Delany taking charge. He's been able to get the best out of the team's healthy mix of veteran players, as well as their up and comers. Such players include Henry Walker, DeAndre Liggins, Justin Hamilton, and Larry Drew II.

Recognizing such success, RidiculousUpside.com is pleased to feature an interview with Coach Delany on our forthcoming podcast, Monday night at 9PM EST / 6PM PST. He'll discuss Sioux Falls' relationship with the Heat, his role as leader and motivator of the squad, the re-emergence of former NBA player Henry Walker, and the team's recent success, among other things.

What's more, Ian McCarthy, Chief Operating Officer of the NBLC (National Basketball League of Canada) will join us to provide a unique look at yet another quality basketball league. The NBLC hosts a slew of former DLeaguers in its league round, and also features former NBA players such as the Knicks' Michael Ray Richardson and the Spurs' Jaren Jackson as head coaches.
