Allen Iverson to the D-League? Hello Pipe Dreams.
This article is apparently extolling the virtues of Allen Iverson playing in the D-League. Do I think this will ever happen, especially with a player like Iverson? No. Would it be awesome? Sort of. It'd be a great ratings boost for the league, but Iverson's got no developing left to do, and he would be taking some unknown SEC player's roster spot.

2009 Clippers Summer League Roster Breakdown
Rather than duplicating efforts, we thought we'd point you over to ClipperBlog for their break down of the Clippers' Summer League team, both because they know more about the Clipper players and because they're just generally good at blogging.

APB for Josh Heytfelt
Can anyone tell me where Josh Heytfelt signed? Feel like this guy could be a Brad Miller-type. Most mock drafts had him going somewhere in the second round.

American Kids Failing Basketball 101
This is an Interesting take on the AAU circuit, and while not exactly about the DLeague, it does tie in with some discussions we've had about player development. Wouldn't one cohesive system, with mandatory time spent in a minor league, developmental system benefit young players more than shady backdoor basketball?

Paul Harris Hates The Cavaliers according to TNiaAM
Paul Harris has spurned the Cavs and decided to reunite with his ol' backcourt buddy Jonny Flynn and the Timberwolves in Vegas next month.
Good for you, Mr. Harris.

Transitioning from the NBA Draft to NBA Summer League coverage
Alright. It's going to seem as though we don't know what we're doing. This website, started over a year ago by Ridiculous Matt Moore, began covering the 2008 NBA Draft. Next, Matt transitioned into D-League coverage. Next, RU went on a seldomly-updated hiatus. Then I came aboard and Matt concentrated more on Hardwood Paroxysm. After that, I started doing more updates, but no one was reading. Then I occasionally posted sweet wrestling videos from the 90's. Next, we (we being I) added some commenters and jubilant Jon L came aboard. Then we kept dominating the internets. Then we started focusing on the Draft. Then I didn't post for a few days. Now it's right now. As the girls who used to reject my advances would say in fifth grade after I kept staring at them with a look of befuddlement because I'm basically an ice-devouring sex tornado - Get it? Got it? Good.

D-League hopefuls get an A for effort
I know, I know, another fanshot. This is the D-League's downtime until Summer League starts, though, so please bear with me. In the meantime, enjoy this LA Times piece about the D-League's recent pre-draft camp. This isn't the "elite minicamp" featuring guys like Brent Petway and Rod Benson playing in front of NBA scouts, this was the group of guys trying to get picked in the upcoming D-League draft.

Check out ShamSports Draft Diary
I love ShamSports - Probably my favorite website that not enough people know about on the internet.
Anyway, I was going to do something similar, but figured since Bill Simmons pretty much dominates the draft diary, it wouldn't pay, and instead drank beer and participated in the live blog over at HardwoodParoxysm.
Well, next year when I talked myself out of draft diarying, it'll be because I can't do it better than Sham, who dominated a good effort from Simmons.
Hardwood Paroxysm Live Blog
My mentor, Matt Moore, held a liveblog: I wasn't invited.
So, I kind of crashed the party on the Truehoop Network of bloggers.
Luckily, they accepted me with open arms and nutmeg throughout a whirlwind draft night.
I'm still working together my thoughts on the draft, which will be up later this morning. Until then, check out the HP live blog. It was epic.
NBA Draft: Memorable Moments in Outfit history
NorskTroll put together some good do's and don't even think about it's over at BlazersEdge. Check it out, mostly because I love Stanko Barac and Adam Silver... together they scream attractive.
