Bruce Pearl went on Dan Patrick's radio show Friday to say why he wouldn't hire himself, but why the NBA D-League's Texas Legends should.

Nearly everyone beat me to the latest Bruce Pearl to the D-League rumors, this time to be the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks affiliated Texas Legends as first reported ESPN's Marc Stein. Since there isn't much else going on that's worth blogging about, however, I've decided to throw my two cents in as well.

Bruce Pearl could be headed to the D-League as the next head coach of the Maine Red Claws. This gels with my report earlier this week that the Red Claws were down to two finalists, one of which is believed to a current assistant with another NBA Development League team, but is still rather shocking.
