NBA Draft and D-League Coverage

Chukwudiebere Maduabum, better known as Chu Chu to the few people familiar with him before Adam Silver read his name on the ESPN broadcast of the 2011 NBA Draft, was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 56th overall pick. Maduabum will be sent to the Denver Nuggets in a trade, which makes sense as general manager Masai Ujiri originally discovered him.

NBA Draft workouts are always exciting simply because, as the Denver Post's Benjamin Hochman noted this morning, it's the NBA's version of speed dating. Actually I've never speed dated (because, honestly, that's just not going to happen in Bismarck, North Dakota), but it seems exciting enough that I used it for today's lede before we get into the pre-draft workouts!
