NBADL All-Star D.J. Kennedy headlined a five player deal that saw two teams respectively weigh priorities like players' potential and/or each one's respective readiness to contribute in the NBA in the near future.
Scott Machado began this season by impressing Rockets' brass as he spent time with their D-League affiliate. Though Houston has since released him, the guard has made the first step to get back into the fold. He signed a contract with the RGV Vipers.
Chris Finch is not a candidate for the vacant Houston Rockets head coaching position, but the current head coach of the NBA D-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers is apparently headed to the Rockets bench regardless next season.
