Wizards Vs Iowa

• 17-11 Iowa at the 5:58 mark.
• Courtney Sims stifling Will Frisby in the paint
• Richard Hendrix got shook by Cartier Martin.. Don't bring him out of the point
  
• Coby Karl had (nearly) a triple-double last game? George, give him a look!
• Larry Ayuso has the lamest 3-point celebration with the 'X' over his head
• Good to see Rod Benson no longer having to suffer wearing #10, as he's back to #0
• Wizards guards, probably the two players most likely getting looks on the floor this game,  are 0-for-5 thru the first nine minutes
• They still haven't figured out the whole DakStats thing... only 2 Wizards have minutes thus far...
• There a lot more female officials this season
• Stricker is a "massive human being"
• I always thought it was pronounced Eye-oo-so, but they say Eye--oo-Sue.
• 28-25 at the end of the first

• As always, this has been a game of runs
• Wizards guards are now 1-for-7
• Renaldo Major came out to a hot start -- 8 points, 3-for-3 FG's, and a block.  Remember he was called up two seasons ago at the Showcase
• Rod Benson's line is typical of his time in Europe -- No shots, 1 foul, 1 turnover, 1 rebound
• "We're off to a booming, flying start"
• I didn't realize this way my man Vance Palm announcing.  What up VP!?
• Not many calls in the low post yet, either way
• Blake with a 3, to put Dakota head 31-30.  Finally... Guess he's just clutch.
• Ahearn again with a 3
• I think Vance thinks both coaches are named Ticknor
• Stricker's not letting anyone dunk on him
• Jawan McClellan... Finishing STRONG
• Wizards trainer Ray Hall looks bored
• Blake Ahearn made a terrible pass... He is not a point guard.. Trying to do more than shoot is never good for him
• Courtney Sims cleaning up the trash
• Wizards are loving their long 2's

• Neither team rebounding well... just tipping the ball around
• Cutler bailed Ahearn out of a TO
• Ahearn tried going with an around-the-back pass.  Do not sign him to an And1 team, or any team where you want him to do more than shoot.  But if you need a shooter, sign him during half-time.
• Cartier Martin is a stud.  His parents are named Melvis and Denisa according to USBasket
• Ayuso looks chubby
• David Bell is getting no love from the rim
• Othyus Jeffers just cracked up VP with an "old MJ move"
• Rod Benson making some silly fouls
• "6'4", in this league, is medium heighth"

• Courtney Sims has 12 points, 6 boards, 2 blocks -- Makes Wizards bigs look BAD

• Curtis Stinson and Aristide Sawadago of the Energy both had shorts stints with the Wizards in the past two seasons
• I'm really excited for Kyrylo Fesenko tonight.  So is Vance... Expecting a sell-out because of him tonight
• Benson called for a travel.. not Boom Tho
• Iowa had a "burst of Energy"
• Benson is going to foul out very soon... and none of them are "Good" fouls

• Wow, Vance just announced he got demoted!  New guy the next two games...
• Hendrix with his first rebound of the game... and it came in the 2nd half!
• Breaking news -- Golden State picking up Marcus Hubbard!
• Lots of easy lay-ups being missed
• How do I get my favorite announcer the job of part-time announcing the Showcase, at least as Vance's back up??  Scott Woodmansee, Wizards announcer and sales guru, along with some area high school football and basketball announcing, should get these jobs.  He knows what he's doing.  Great with tough names like Martynas Andriuskevicius and Hamed Haddadi.  I've got his contact info.  Plus, check this out!

• Benson's hustling now.  Like to see that!... Still playing sloppy though
• This game is VERY fast-paced
• Mo Baker is playing like he's got something to prove

• Ahearn has shown a nice off the dribble pull-up

• Everyone should see what Stricker tried doing as time expired... Kid has moves!
• 84-77 Wizards at the end of the third
• Baker's got 17 points, 7 boards, 5 assists... Showing his all-around game
• David Bell, the Wizards other shooter, is leading the Wizards in scoring, off the bench.  Bell is the definition of a streaky-shooter, but he's on right now
• 4 Wizards have 4 fouls
• Good news, Vance will be doing the Wizards game tomorrow night! I like him.

• Wizards up six, looks like they won.
• WAIT! Iowa missed about 4 putbacks, then Pat Sanders made the 5th, intentionally missed the FT to go along with it...
• Major fouled out on the rebound, Iowa goes to the line, down 4.
• Phillips missed both free-throws
• David Bell going to the line, and right before DB shot, Nick Nurse got whistled for a technical
• Vance is talking about volcanic pressure... stay focused VP
• Game over -- 115, 110 ...
  
• Somehow, Renaldo Major took "Futurecast player of the game" honors, after disappearing after the first quarter.  I was hope that was a mis-read by Vance!
• I would give it to David Bell, out of Montana, who finished with 28 points and 6 assists.  Bell is a former CBA All-Star... GO CBA!
• Ahearn finished 15 points, 9 assists, and 8 turnovers.  OUCH
• Baker finished with 17, 7 and 5, but didn't play much in the 4th, as Coach Ticknor rode the hot hand
• For Iowa, Cartier Martin finished as the games leading scorer with 32.
• Othyus Jeffers had a big game off the bench, with 23 points, 8 boards, and 3 steals
