Remember Shaun Livingston? Fourth overall pick in the 2004 draft, ahead of Devin Harris, Andre Iguodala, Al Jefferson, Josh Smith, Jameer Nelson, et al.? The dude who had his Ridiculous Upside upended by this injury on February 26th 2007?
After a failed comeback attempt with Miami earlier this season (2.3 points, 10.3 minutes, four games), he has resurfaced in the D-League with the Tulsa 66ers.
Remember, Tulsa is owned by Oklahoma City, and I would venture to say that they are hoping to land him in OKC next season, assuming he plays well for them this season.
Thus far, Livingston has played in two games with the 7-29 66ers, who need lots more help, even more than a fourth overall pick can get them. Livingston, the point guard, is currently their third tallest active player. Ryan Humphrey used to be up there as well, but WTLC reports he was released due to the ever infamous "personal reasons", which just got Gerry McNamara as well.
Livingston had 13 points in 23:47 in his first game as a starter for the 66ers, shooting 6-for-12 from the field, though the 66ers still lost by 23.
Be on the look for fellow big names Mohammed Sene and Quincy Douby soon.
