Some Weekend Links From Around the NBA D-League

With the holiday weekend upon us, here are some NBA D-League related links to help get you through your Sunday afternoon.

USA TODAY Sports

With the holiday weekend here and some interesting preseason basketball being played, here are some links to curb your hunger for some NBA D-League information.

Over at SBNation.com, Mark Deeks assesses some of the latest underperforming past first-round draft picks who are under consideration to have their latest team options exercised. Many of these said players (such as Kendall Marshall, Royce White, Cory Joseph, etc.) happen to be minor league alumni.

With more and more teams entering single affiliations and the D-League quickly becoming more of a traditional minor league, expansion is continuously discussed as a viable option going forward. Over at Orlando Pinstriped Post, our buddy Evan Dunlap has the latest on the Orlando Magic's potential craving for their own NBADL team.

If you missed it, earlier this week RidiculousUpside.com spoke with basketball agent Dan Curtin of Three Eye Sports, who discussed the challenges of helping his clients evaluate the pros & cons of playing in the NBA, D-League, and international leagues.

And last but not least, our old friend Gino Pilato has an interesting look at an NBA preseason game played in a D-League town over at DLeagueDigest.com. He also catches up with a couple of notable NBADL alumni.

That's all for now, but happy reading!
