Looking at Some Midweek NBA D-League Links From Around the Web

Here's a midweek look at some of the latest happenings and/or draft notes about the NBA D-League from our friends around the web.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Earlier this week, we highlighted and discussed this NetsDaily.com piece that outlines the Springfield Armor's plan for helping the Nets develop potential role players.

Still just less than a week removed from the 2013 NBA D-League Draft, let's take a look at what some of our other friends around the web are saying about the NBADL.

Always a supporter of what the Santa Cruz Warriors are up to, my buddy Nate Parham at Golden State of Mind has fans covered with the team's latest happenings (including related draft news, new acquisitions, updates on returning players, etc.) right here.

With a look back at Sam Hinkie's strategy during last week's selection process, Derek Bodner of Liberty Ballers (fresh off having breakfast with the 76ers' General Manager, in fact) examines how the affiliated 87ers' draft went.

Though his brother happened to be drafted by the 87ers last week, Bucks rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo says getting assigned to the D-League simply isn't for him. That's a pretty bold assertion for a young gun like himself. SBNation.com's James Herbert highlights his latest comments here.

Cavaliers' rookie Anthony Bennett (the number one overall pick in this past summer's NBA Draft) made his first NBA bucket on Wednesday night. Still, should Cleveland consider sending him to the NBA D-League? In case you missed it, here's RidiculousUpside.com's take on the issue.

And lastly, our ole' pal Gino Pilato of D-League Digest is excited about the arrival of 5'10" fireball Pierre Jackson to the Portland Trail Blazers' D-League affiliate, the Idaho Stampede. Read more about Jackson's game (and an interesting note as to why the Blazers may not be able to call him up to the NBA if so desired this season) right here.

That's all for now, folks. Happy reading!
