Though the Fort Wayne Mad Ants are partnered up with a league-high six NBA affiliates, they had yet to receive any assignees from The Association through Christmas Day.
But with just days left in the year 2013, a pair of Detroit Pistons will be making their way out to Fort Wayne after all.
On Thursday, Detroit announced that the team has assigned both Tony Mitchell and Peyton Silvia to the Mad Ants. The D-League squad has two upcoming games against the Canton Charge on December 31st and January 1st next week.
Also assigned on Thursday to a multi-affiliated D-League squad was Marquis Teague. The Bulls' guard was previously assigned to the Iowa Energy this season, but never appeared in a game. He was subsequently called up after getting assigned in the first place, due to the recent injury to Derrick Rose.
