Last week, NBA D-League President Dan Reed joined the RidiculousUpside.com staff to discuss the minor league's continued progress and all the latest happenings of the annual D-League Showcase.
In the days that followed, we reacted and responded to all the action ourselves, complete with All-NBA D-League Showcase first & second team selections, as well as the subsequently unveiled "Prospect Pyramid."
Thus, there was plenty to discuss and review following the Showcase during the latest RidiculousUpside.com podcast.
Keith Schlosser and Dakota Schmidt broke it all down, and examined some of the more popular headlines from the annual event, as well as the site's selections for such honorary player awards.
What's more, we also welcomed an alumni of the SB Nation NBA writing community in Robby Kalland to speak with us as well. Now the Lead Writer for the Atlanta Hawks, Robby provided some great insight on Atlanta's relationship with the Bakersfield Jam, and how they actively utilize the D-League. In addition, he discussed the recent assignments of the Hawks' young players, and the team's likely mentality when it came to calling up Jam swingman James Nunnally.
The RU staff closed things out by assessing the Texas Legends' reported pick up of former North Carolina Tar Heel P.J. Hairston, and what that means for the minor league.
