With the likes of Amar'e Stoudemire, Kenyon Martin, and Andrea Bargnani all sidelined by injuries, the New York Knicks have looked to Jeremy Tyler to help fill their big man void.
And though Tyler has since been donning orange and blue, his old NBA D-League team is by no means left without talented options to pick up where the young gun left off. While they've experienced plenty of their own respective ups and downs thus far, the Erie BayHawks can rest assured that good times are ahead with the likes of Justin Brownlee and Ricky Davis leading the way, as well as the new addition of NBADL All-Star Micah Downs.
Still, the task of turning such fortunes around is often much easier with a quality head coach at the helm. With that in mind, BayHawks' head coach Gene Cross will join the RidiculousUpside.com staff for our forthcoming podcast to talk about his team's season thus far.
We record live on Monday night, beginning at 9PM EST / 6PM PST.
Also joining us in the hour will be Gino Pilato of DLeagueDigest.com. A writer with a great handle on all sorts of things across the D-League (especially which players are headed where, as of late), Pilato will discuss the latest twists & turns of the minor league season. What's more, a native of Boise, Idaho, our good friend gets a close look at Stampede star Pierre Jackson on a nighty basis. As anyone who watches the D-League knows all too well, one can never get enough Jackson chatter.
As always, myself (Keith Schlosser) and Dakota Schmidt will dive in and discuss the top headlines from the past week as well.
