Santa Cruz Warriors to Sign NBA Vet Scott Machado?

According to a report (tweet), the Santa Cruz are poised to re-sign NBA guard Scott Machado, who spent time with them last season.

Last season, young gun Scott Machado spent time with the Rockets, Warriors, and both NBA squads' D-League affiliates (the RGV Vipers and Santa Cruz Warriors, respectively).

Needless to say, the guard had a busy rookie year. Starting things off in Houston, Machado was soon after waived, then subsequently spent time in Rio Grande Valley. The team traded his minor league rights to Santa Cruz, where he spent some time before getting called up to Golden State.

Since being waived by Golden State following NBA Summer League, Machado has been staying closer to home. According to a source, he's spent recent weeks working out and rehabbing from an apparent injury.

But according to our buddy Adam Johnson, a return to Santa Cruz may now be imminent for Machado once again. See below.

As Johnson suggests, we can confirm via a second source that Outerbridge has been let go, giving way for a forthcoming re-acquisition of the Queens, New York native. Machado was said to be in Santa Cruz this week, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him suit up in time for the NBA D-League Showcase.

Machado spent training camp with the Jazz, but with Seth Curry having signed with the Grizzlies, his old D-League team could use an extra floor general.
