The likes of Pierre Jackson, Dewayne Dedmon, and Willie Reed are among those prospects headlining the cream of the crop currently on display in Reno for the 2014 NBA D-League Showcase.
Such players are all on the same quest to get noticed and ensure their names soon become household ones, a la Jeremy Lin and/or Danny Green. The minor league hardwood often provides quite the platform to do so. That's especially true this week, as the Showcase attracts a slew of NBA executives to town.
As these prospects work hard to make their mark(s), D-League President Dan Reed can certainly take comfort in the fact that as the league continues to grow, it serves a very special purpose while creating even more great opportunities.
With all seventeen NBADL teams taking part in this year's Showcase, President Reed is also in Reno, taking in all the action.
