It's been quite the first season in the NBA D-League for Rio Grande Valley Vipers head coach Nevada Smith so far. On the way to further developing some well known young guns, as well as beginning to unmask those previously undiscovered gems, Coach Smith has led his team to the league's top spot.
Though they stand as the defending the NBA D-League champions, the Vipers' roster is full of new faces. Still, that hasn't mattered much to Coach Smith, who has kept the Vipers' engine chugging along by implementing quite the firepower offense.
Such efforts have earned Coach Smith the opportunity to coach in the NBA D-League All-Star game this coming weekend. On the heels of such an accomplishment, he'll call in to the upcoming RidiculousUpside.com podcast to discuss his first season in the minor league.
We begin live on Monday night at 9PM EST / 6PM PST.
But the fun won't simply end with Coach Smith. Next up will be NBA agent Bernie Lee. A number of his more well known clients have utilized the D-League in recent years en route to The Association. John Lucas III. Mike James, and Toure Murry are among them. Could the likes of Ricky Davis and Ron Howard be next? Lee will discuss all that and more, relating to the NBADL season.
As always, Keith Schlosser and Dakota Schmidt will discuss some of the bigger headlines surrounding D-League basketball heading into All-Star Weekend.
