Like many NBA teams and familiar front office staffers, we here at RidiculousUpside.com believe that winning still plays a major part in the success of a minor league hoping for an eventful NBA call-up, The more a given player's team wins, the more proof there is that such a youngster is not only playing well, but having a positive effect while doing so.
This proved to be the case for Sioux Falls Skyforce forward Shawn Jones, who helped his team complete a season-sweep of the Westchester Knicks while leading them to two more victories against the opposition just last week.
In the pair of victories, Jones soared to new heights, averaging 25.5 points, on an all the more impressive 71% from the field, to go along with 9 rebounds per contest. For his latest efforts, Jones is being recongized as our Top Prospect of the Week for March 15th through March 21st.
Jones has terrific ball-handling skills for a player his size, making it easier for him to beat opposing defenders off the dribble and/or drive to the basket. He has decent enough range, and on the flip side, knows how to use his body down low on the defensive end.
Just last month, our buddy Ryan Blake from NBADLeague.com further highlighted Jones' progression from college and most recent success on the D-League level. Continue watching below for highlights and more of Blake's prospective.
