The New York Knicks have started to finalize their roster ahead of the team’s season opener on October 17. On Saturday, the Knicks announced the team had waived Kadeem Allen and Jeff Coby. Allen and Coby are expected to start the 2018-19 season with the Westchester Knicks.

After being selected with the No. 53 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Allen signed a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics. The Celtics guard spent the majority of his rookie season with the Maine Red Claws where he averaged 17.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.1 steals in 34.5 minutes per game. Allen looked impressive in his time with Maine and earned an appearance on the G League All-Defensive Team.

After starting in 18 games as a senior and averaging 6.2 points per game with the Columbia Lions, Coby went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft. He spent his rookie season in Spain with CB Prat Juventud and Cambados Xuven.
