After nearly nine months after hibernation due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, it seems like eyes of the G League bear is ready to start opening. While there hasn’t yet been an official restart announcement from the league itself, the reports have been starting to come in over the last few weeks.

Back on November 27th, New York Times’ NBA insider Marc Stein reported that an idea for a G League bubble located in the Atlanta area was starting to pick up some traction. Due to NBA teams reportedly being forced to pay a $500,000 fee to have their affiliate go to the bubble, he stated that some G League teams are not expected to participate. One week later, we reported that the G League itself set a deadline for the afternoon of Friday, December 4th to make a decision on whether or not NBA teams would be paying the fee.

Due to the G League bubble not officially being announced by the league itself, there hasn’t been an official announcement from any of the 28 NBA teams that have an affiliate. However, thanks to reporting from various team reports, NBA insiders, and my league sources, there’s a decent sense on which NBA organizations are going to send their G League team to the bubble, which aren’t, and the ones that we’re not sure of yet.

Again, this list is not official and it could change between the time of this piece and when/if the bubble season actually begins
