The Westchester Knicks had one game in week 14 against the Canton Charge before the All-Star Break. When Westchester returned to action, the team had two games in three days against the Raptors 905 and Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
During the past two weeks, there were several news stories outside the Westchester County Center. Ivan Rabb is one of 12 players that was named to the February USA AmeriCup Qualifying Team. Allan Houston, who was Westchester’s General Manager for five seasons, is in consideration for a front office promotion.
Grand Rapids Use Second Half To Drive To Victory Over Westchester
Both Westchester and Grand Rapids were evenly matched at the half, as the score was tied at 57. Brazdeikis played a role offensively in the first two quarters by dropping 16 points and connecting on 54.5 percent of his shots. The Drive used a 36-point third quarter to take a double digit into the fourth quarter. Grand Rapids edged Westchester in the final frame to secure a 117-105 win.
Ignas Brazdeikis led Westchester with 23 points and six rebounds on 9-of-17 shooting from the field. Tim Bond posted his first double-double (16 points and 11 assists) of the season. Zak Irvin, Kadeem Allen, Ivan Rabb, and Tyler Hall each recorded 12 points; Rabb grabbed eight rebounds, Allen dished seven assists and four steals, and Hall had three steals and drained three triples.
Knicks Fall In Triple Overtime To Raptors 905
Westchester trailed after the first two quarters of play, 71-63. The Knicks started to make a comeback in the third quarter by outscoring their opponents by three points. The Raptors 905 held a 13-point lead with 3:13 left in the fourth quarter, but Westchester erased their deficit. Kadeem Allen scored seven of the team’s 13 points and Tyler Hall drained a clutch three to tie the score at 116 and send the game into overtime.
Both teams totaled four points in the first overtime and two points in the second overtime to send the game into triple overtime. Jawun Evans drained the final basket of the game and gave the Raptors 905 a 126-124 victory.
Allen led Westchester with 23 points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals. Tyler Hall recorded 21 points, 4 rebounds and two steals on 6-of-10 shooting from deep. Zak Irvin totaled 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals on 6-of-8 from the field. Kenny Wooten finished with 13 points, five rebounds and four blocks.
Fort Wayne Mad Ants Pick Up Six-Point Win In Westchester
Fort Wayne held a nine-point lead after one quarter of play and both teams were nearly even in the second half. The Mad Ants held a 61-54 lead at the half. Lamar Peters was shooting the ball well in the first half, as he had 18 points and drained four perimeter shots.
Westchester took the lead with 7:57 in the third quarter behind a three from Andrew White III. While the Knicks made it a two-point game in the final two minutes of the game, Fort Wayne close out the game and scored a 112-106 win.
Kadeem Allen led Westchester with 23 points and five rebounds, while shooting 50 percent from the field. Lamar Peters finished with 22 points on 4-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc. Andrew White III recorded 16 points, four rebounds, and drained five triples. J.J. Moore notched a double-double (15 points and 10 rebounds). Ignas Brazdeikis tallied 15 points and six rebounds.
Ivan Rabb Named To 2020 AmeriCup Qualifying Team

On Feb. 12, it was announced that Ivan Rabb would be competing with the 2020 AmeriCup Qualifying Team. The USA team trained between Feb. 14-22 and had one game against Puerto Rico on Feb. 20 and their second game occurred on Feb. 23. Rabb recorded three points, two rebounds, two assists and one block in 14 minutes off the bench.

New York Daily News Report: Allan Houston In Consideration For Front Office Promotion

According to Stefan Bondy of The New York Daily News, Allan Houston is a candidate to receive a promotion in the Knicks’ front office. Houston was the Westchester Knicks’ General Manager from 2014-2019 and served in multiple roles in the organization since 2008. The former Knick was the Assistant to the General Manager from 2008-2010 and the Assistant General Manager from 2010-2011. Houston is currently the Special Assistant to the General Manager for the New York Knicks.
