Updated Tracker Of Former G League Coaches Getting NBA Head Coaching Looks

As the NBA Playoffs roll on into the month of September, the American basketball world as we know it is basically at a standstill as we wait to see who is crowned as the NBA champion. Once that point is reached, the future of the NBA and G League, whenever their next seasons may begin, start to become more crystallized with the NBA Draft,two-ways and training camp invitees.

While we have to wait for that period to bring roster changes to all thirty NBA teams, some of the organizations are either looking at candidates or have already decided on their next head coach. Two teams that fall into that second category would be the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets, who hired Tom Thibedeau and Steve Nash, to be their next head coaches.

Although those two spots have been filled, the OKC Thunder, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Indiana Pacers are still in pursuit for their next head coaches. As is usually the case, the build up to the announcement of a new on-court boss is filled with news of numerous current assistants or former NBA head coaches that are either being linked to the job or getting interviewed.

Among those individuals, a lot have experience in the G League as either assistants or head coaches. In an attempt to both inform you on these perspective head coaches, I’ve put together this tracker, which will updated when new comes, on the G League coaching alumni that are being linked to NBA teams. To make things easier for the fans of those teams, I’ve separated the coaches by which teams they are linked to.
