"The D-League is not the NBA," Morris said in the days before training camp opened. "I’m a guy that learns watching or getting a chance out there. I’m older. I think I’m ready to contribute right away."
Marcus Morris is apparently warming up to the D-League, now that he's been assigned, after being against it last month.
With limited practices coming up with the Rockets, Morris will join the RGV Vipers (just in time for the Showcase) as he transitions to playing the small forward role.
The Iowa Energy defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce, 121-103, on Tuesday night. North Dakota State's Michael Tveidt led Iowa with 24 points in the win.
