JamesOn Curry got called-up to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. This afternoon, he was released.
He didn't even make it through half of his 10-day contract and only played four seconds.
This has to be a record, no?
No.
James Thomas, who starred for the D-League's Roanoke Dazzle back during the 2004-2005 season when he averaged 12.4 points and 13.3 rebounds. For his troubles, he earned a 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers on February 22, 2005.
Two days later he was cut because the Cavs traded a first-round pick for Jiri Welsch.

record?
Maybe 4 days in the NBA isn’t a record, but what about 4 seconds?
That could be a record for shortest time played in the NBA (counting players
who have actually played in games). If not a record for all the NBA, then definitely a D-League call-up record.

Probably
I don’t have the resources to look into that – this is unfortunate.
