I realize nobody has really thought about Smush Parker since he started 80 games for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2006-07 season, but when HoopsHype posted the above pictures Parker on Twitter, I figured it was time to catch up with him once again.

Parker is currently playing for Iraklis Thessaloniki in Greece -- replacing former Gonzaga guard Matt Bouldin after he tested positive for a banned supplement -- and scored 26 points in 30 minutes for his debut on Saturday. So, even though he's a bit out of shape, it seems he can still score (and doesn't even have the turnover problems he did in the D-League!).

Before we get to where Smush has been since his time with the Lakers, let's first let's go back and see how Kobe Bryant felt about playing with Parker.

"In my situation, we weren't spending the money to get players [to the Lakers]. They had me playing around with Smush Parker," Bryant recently told the L.A. Times. "So until they decided that they wanted to make the necessary sacrifice financially and give me a team that was going to be competitive, then I didn't want to be here. It was as simple as that."

Alrighty then.

Since Bryant forced annexation of Parker from the Lakers, he's played nine games with the Miami Heat, 19 games with the Los Angeles Clippers, a preseason with the Denver Nuggets, 18 games for the D-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers, 77 games over two seasons in China with the Guandong Southern Tigers, a Summer League with the Toronto Raptors, seven games for Spartak St. Petersburg in Russia and finally, after being cut by them, he's playing for Iraklis Thessaloniki in Greece.

He's been everywhere, man.

Unfortunately, if he's that out of shape right now, I have a feeling we probably won't be seeing him stateside in the NBA anytime soon.
