NBA Mock Draft Pick #15 -- Shane Larkin, Guard, Miami
SB Nation's Bucks blog Brew Hoop explains the pick:
With Brandon Jennings hitting restricted free agency and Monta Ellis all but assured to opt out, the Bucks are likely to see a substantial and much-needed shakeup to their backcourt this summer. About time, right? So it will be no surprise to see the Bucks look for backcourt reinforcements on draft night, with Miami's Shane Larkin reportedly the most impressive guard to have worked out in Milwaukee this far.
Larkin's lack of size will likely prevent him from being a star, but explosive quickness, a sweet perimeter stroke (40.6% from three) and the ability to make plays for himself and others in the pick-and-roll suggest he'll be no worse than a quality change-of-pace player. The Bucks would of course be hoping for much more than that, and with the futures of Ellis and Jennings in serious doubt, it's possible that Larkin--or any other guard picked here--would see major minutes immediately.
