NBA Mock Draft: Cleveland Cavaliers Select Sergey Karasev From Russia

SB Nation's NBA Network conducted a mock draft with bloggers from each team site making or trading their "team's" pick. We continue with the nineteenth pick in the 2013 NBA Mock Draft with Fear the Sword selecting Sergey Karasev from Russia.

NBA Mock Draft Pick #19 -- Sergey Karasev, Forward, Russia

SB Nation's Cavs blog Fear the Sword explains the pick:

The Cavs were tempted to go with Steven Adams with this pick, but having drafted a young, raw big man with the 1st pick, they simply had to pass. Instead, they fill another huge need with Karasev. He's got a sweet shooting stroke and great size for SG or SF. He'll never be a superstar, but at #19, they don't think him to be. They need a solid role player who can knock down the open shots that Waiters and Irving create. Karasev can shoot and has the size to get his shots off against long defenders. After drafting Noel first overall, the Cavs feel great about addressing their two biggest areas of need: rim protection and 3-point shooting.
