Memphis Grizzlies Extend Invite To James Nunnally For NBA Training Camp

As he continues to workout for an array of NBA squads this month, RidiculousUpside.com has learned that James Nunnally has already received a training camp invite from the Memphis Grizzlies.

D-League guard James Nunnally is on the workout trail this month, continuing to strut his stuff across the country in hopes of impressing a handful of big league executives along the way. With NBA training camp just weeks away, Nunnally is aiming to find the ideal fit for him in time for this coming season.

Nunnally worked out for both the Spurs and Suns last week. In a surprising turn of events, however, RidiculousUpside.com has learned that a Western Conference rival has attempted to swoop in and invite Nunnally to training camp first.

The Memphis Grizzlies, who plucked Springfield Armor big man Willie Reed from the NBADL late last season, are looking to uncover yet another gem. The team has extended a training camp invite out to Nunnally.

Though receiving such an invite is quite an honor in itself, the guard's work is not yet done. He'll continue to workout for other teams as scheduled this week, including the Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans.

It's worth noting that the Jazz are now an NBA parent affiliate with the multi-affiliated Bakersfield Jam, Nunnally's D-League team from last season. If Nunnally were to sign with Utah, anytime they'd potentially assign him to the minor league, he'd obviously retreat to very similar surroundings.
