In preparation for the upcoming NBA D-League Draft, the Idaho Stampede have acquired three draft picks.

The Stampede traded the player rights of Durrell Summers to the Reno Bighorns for the team's fifth round selections in the 2014 and 2015. After four years at Michigan State, Summers went undrafted in 2011. Summers spent his first season in the D-League with the Maine Red Claws. He was then selected in the fourth round (61st overall) of the 2012 D-League draft by the Santa Cruz Warriors for their third round pick in 2013 and Harouna Mutombo, and was quickly traded him to the Idaho Stampede. Summers averaged 16.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 50 games with the Stampede during the 2012-2013 season. He is currently in Israel playing for Ironi Kiryat Ata.

The Stampede also acquired the Canton Charge's third round pick in the 2014 draft by trading their 2015 third round pick to the Oklahoma City Blue.

As a result, the Stampede now have eight picks in the upcoming draft, which will take place on Saturday, November 1st. The final draft order will be set in stone on October 31st. The Stampede will then commence training camp the following day and will be forced to cut their roster down to 10 players by November 13th. Their regular season will then kick off with a double-header against the Erie BayHawks on November 14th and 15th.
