NBA Mock Draft Pick #22 -- Isaiah Hartenstein, Power Forward, Germany

SBNation’s Brooklyn Nets blog NetsDaily explains their pick:

Hartenstein is a bit of a risk and might even wind up as a draft-and-stash. But he's 7'1", 230, and has shown, at just barely 19, both post skills and deep shooting and could be Brook Lopez's successor at the 5. Lopez turns 31 in April and his contract is up at the end of this season. Nets assistant coach Chris Fleming is well aware of Hartenstein's potential. He's coached him on the German national teams.

Ridiculous Upside Analysis

Although it might seem weird for the Nets to take a potential draft-and-stash player, considering that they need any kind of young talent, Isaiah Hartenstein could be a solid fit for them. As NetsDaily mentioned, Hartenstein stands as a versatile big that has shown an ability to work inside the low-post and from beyond the arc. Those traits are definitely appealing because Hartenstein just turned 19 on May 5th which puts him as one of the youngest players in this year’s draft class. Although we might not see him in the NBA until 2018-19, Hartenstein still stands as a prospect that fans should keep their eyes on.
