After starting season in Westchester, Allen signed a two-way contract in January.

Kadeem Allen signed with the New York Knicks in July of 2018 then joined the Westchester Knicks as an affiliate player. He made a great impact in Westchester with his high level defense, playmaking, ability to finish at the rim, and find the open shooter.

Allen showed to be a superb defender and had many excellent defensive highlights throughout the season. He stuck with Rawle Alkins as he drove to the rim and Allen denied his shot. It wasn't the first time Allen blocked Alkins in the game. In the middle of the fourth quarter, Allen showed good defense in transition when he blocked Alkins’ shot. He was named to the G League All-Defensive Team.

Allen showed he could finish strong at the rim and kick out to an opener shooter. He made improvements with his perimeter game where he shot above 50 percent in his final seven games in Westchester. The Knicks guard shot 3-of-3 from deep in a 23 point performance against the Delaware Blue Coats.

On January 14, Allen signed a two-way contract and played in 19 games with New York. He took advantage of the minutes he received and showed he could make an impact in the Big Apple. The second-year guard praised his game, along with how he has improved his game in increments.
