I think that the G League can be a testing ground for future NBA expansion. I think the G League should make branches in other countries like China and Mexico. This could pave the way for future NBA expansion and it could also make the G League richer. Currently the G League is a very poor minor league, with very little player salaries. Deals in countries like China could make the G League significantly richer. It would gain Chinese markets for a time. It would have competition from the current Chinese leagues, but with good management and NBA support, it could get much better than the current Chinese leagues. This pattern could be repeated in other countries, with a Chinese branch of the G League, a Mexican branch of the G League, and possibly a Canadian or European division of the G League. This would make the G League almost as rich as the NBA, until it would make other branches in different countries too.
