Dakota Wizards closing in on records
(from an email I got from "Dakota PR stud", Mr. Mike Offerdahl)
The Dakota Wizards traveled to Tulsa last night after a disappointing lose in Colorado 118-114. Romel Beck finished the game with 30 points to lead the Wizards in scoring.
Guard Maurice Baker had six rebounds which propelled him past former Wizard Kevin Beard in Wizards regular season Career rebounds. Moe now sits atop that mark with 1035 career regular season rebounds. He also is ranked in the top spot in five other categories including being the first Wizards player to ever surpass 1000 assists. He now sits at 1001 on his career.
Today the Wizards (23-19) will face the Tulsa 66ers (10-32) in Tulsa. Another record could possibly be broken today and that record is the NBA D-League single season 3 points made record. Currently Wizards guard Blake Ahearn is just 2 three pointers made shy of breaking that record which is held by Sioux Falls Skyforce forward Frank Williams with 122 grabbed during the 2006-07 season. Ahearn currently sits at 121 on the season. He averages 3.1 three pointers made per game.
