NBA Mock Draft Pick #18, Kyle Anderson, Guard, UCLA
SB Nation's Timberwolves blog Cannis Hoopus explains the pick following a trade with the Suns:
With the 18th pick in the draft, the Timberwolves select Kyle Anderson from UCLA. This worked out ideally for us, as we would have taken Anderson with the 13th pick had we not been able to move back. We think he's clearly the best player left on the board, and frankly think he might be one of the top five guys in this draft. We all watched San Antonio win a title thanks in large part to their collective and individual basketball IQ and passing ability. Kyle Anderson reminds us of various European forwards of the past and present like Hedo Turkoglu, Toni Kukoc, and Boris Diaw who played such a vital role for the Spurs. Anderson's ability to handle the ball and pass it, change pace and control the flow of the game stands out from other available prospects. We are thrilled to add him.
