NBA Mock Draft: Orlando Magic select Willie Cauley-Stein From Kentucky

SB Nation's NBA Network conducted a mock draft with bloggers from each team site making or trading "their" team's pick. We continue with the next pick in the 2015 NBA Mock Draft, with Orlando Pinstriped Post selecting Willie Cauley-Stein out of Kentucky.

NBA Mock Draft Pick #5 -- Willie-Cauley-Stein, Center, Kentucky

SB Nation's Magic blog, Orlando Pinstriped Post, explains the pick:

With the fifth pick in the NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic select Willie Cauley-Stein from the University of Kentucky.

Last year the Magic selected Aaron Gordon with their first pick thinking he might be their power forward of the future, but he had issues defending the fours in the NBA. Thus the pick for Cauley-Stein makes a lot of sense. He already has the size in both height and weight that should help him translate to the low post game of the league. He will also compliment Nikola Vucevic and take some load off of him. Vucevic won't be required to grab every rebound or pretend that he can defend the paint. That can now be Cauley-Stein's job. Gordon can make the move out to the three and the Magic will have the start of something really, really special.
