NBA Mock Draft Pick #4 — Marvin Bagley III., Forward, Duke

SBNation’s Memphis Grizzlies blog Grizzly Bear Blues explains the pick:

The Memphis Grizzlies entertained a variety of strategies heading in to this draft, but at the end of the day they settled at the best talent on the board. Michael Porter Jr. was a thought here, as was trading back, but Marvin Bagley III being at 4 was too good to ultimately pass up. Yes, there are defensive concerns, but Bagley comes in and immediately allows for things to kind of get back to normal for Marc Gasol. Bagley can rebound, Bagley can shoot and score in a variety of ways, and Bagley can create mismatches in certain situations with his tool kit of offensive maneuvers.
